Prince - I Feel For You
"I Feel For You" from his second album, self titled, released in 1979.

*gasp*

NEW YORK – Prince is coming to a Target near you.

The superstar is releasing a three-disc CD set through the retailer at the end of this month. The set will include two new albums — "LOtUSFLOW3R" and "MPLSoUND" — as well as a third by his new artist, Bria Valente, for the price of $11.98.

Prince is just the latest music legend to release new music exclusively through a major retailer. AC/DC and the Eagles were among the acts who sold millions of CDs through their partnership with Wal-Mart.

Prince has released his recent CDs through major labels, but they were one-album deals that gave him the flexibility to go elsewhere when the project was done. Last fall, he released a coffee table book of photos titled "21 Nights" documenting his record-breaking, 21-night run at London's 02 Arena in 2007. The book also included a CD of live performances.

"Prince has long been renowned as one of the world's most original and iconic musical artists," said Mark Schindele, Target's senior vice president of merchandising. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to share his most recent work with our Target guests."

The CD set will be on sale at Target and its Web site on March 29.

He Would Die 4 U

Photobucket
Prince's "I Would Die 4 U" is one of my favorite songs of all time.
Prince is the King of POP, period. He's a artist, a recluse, and a musical force.
He has presence and an undeniable allure. This song is a classic.
Raheem Devaughn covered it and I would've said he did a good job until the very end.
He took a sincere gesture of eternal love and attempted to turn it gospel.
Kinda RUINED it for me. I don't like gospel music, at all. Maybe you'll like it, it was lost on me.

Youre just a sinner I am told
Be your fire when youre cold
Make u happy when youre sad
Make u good when u are bad
Im not a human
I am a dove
Im your conscious
I am love
All I really need is 2 know that
U believe

50th Annual Grammy Awards

The Grammy Award show is sort of a gift and a curse. Sometimes you're proud and elated when hard-working artist receive the accolades they deserve, then sometimes they just fuck up. This year was no different. Alicia Key, Prince, Rihanna, and several other notable artist all sported this cockatoo chic hairstyle...I think it works...*avoids eye contact*...Tina Turner looked like the poster child for Botox and Boobs...Beyonce did ok, I wasn't really impressed...Kanye's performance was visually stunning, and is a great preview for his tour I'm assuming, plus Daft Punk is the shit...Alicia Keys was spellbounding...Aretha Franklin was ummm, let's just say she had a lot of stage presence. I hated how the producers of the show cut Kanye off during his speech...but then again, he doesn't really have much respect for people during their speeches, remember that fiasco with J.U.S.T.I.C.E. at the MTV Europe Awards...All the same, it was kinda messed up.BUT Amy Winehouse's acceptance speech was the BEST! The BEST! Click here to see it.
