Laced Out!

Is it possible to take a single idea and launch it into a full fledged company in a single year? Indeed it is. If you don’t believe me just ask Jeff Fernandez the sole proprietor of Laced Out. Just last year Jeff was your average Georgia State University student with a penchant for collecting sneakers. Some how the stars aligned and he decided to expand his interest in custom kicks with a clothing line that focuses on sneaker culture. L.O.! shirts are not your average plain white tees. The shirts are clever, hip, and one hundred percent heavy cotton (to ensure durability). Not to mention Jeff caters to all of his customers by offering sizes beyond your basic XL going well into 4XL. During my sit down with Jeff he was sporting a red Laced Out tee himself. His shirt featured Mr. Tee sporting aviators and his signature gold chains, the back of the tee states: “I pity the fool that rocks fakes.” Jeff explained that he is inspired by everything around him and he aspires to become a household name. Jeff’s company has grown exponentially over the course of a year. He’s done several events including a successful launch party at Verve Lounge as well as Sneaker Friends 08’ with Greg Street. This determined student is not stopping here, he’s working all new designs and a women’s line. If you’re looking for Laced Out apparel you have options. You can mosey on downtown to Sol Munki or LacedUp—now if gas money is an issue hop on some free Wi-Fi and visit www.getlacedout.com. The shirts go for about $20 a piece which is a steal. The most popular Laced Out design is the “Fresh Kicks Daily” shirt inspired by Krispy Kreme. Don’t get left out, get Laced Out.
