Robin Thicke is "Something Else"

Robin Thicke's third studio album "Something Else" is out.
You can't really go wrong with Robin Thicke. I mean honestly,
the guy's voice is just too smooth. He croons and they swoon.
He hit mainstream success with hit's like "Wanna Love You Girl"
and (no doubt a now classic love song!) "Lost Without U".
Don't get me wrong "The Evolution of Robin Thicke" was great,
packed with hits that Robin produced and wrote himself.
I'm partial to his early work...
Few remember the long-hair, bike-riding-backpacker Robin Thicke of
yester-year, I DO! His first album "THICKE" is phenomenal.
It's a bizarre assortment fun tracks. I really love that album.
Anywho...

This album has a slight nostalgic old school rhythm & blues aura .
It's not quite neo-soul, not quite old school--it's nestled somewhere
comfortably between the two. "Loverman" gives me a Sade on the beach while
"Hard On My Love" gives me Jimi Hendrix and James Brown doing shots.
Then there are songs like "The Sweetest Love" which will probably be played
during wedding receptions across the nation by years end.
The title track "Something Else" is a little seventies soul, its a pretty
funky little track. I really dig this record. It's an easy listen.
It's simple, sexy, and smooth. Trust, in our current economic climate,
I wouldn't co-sign on crap--but this one is worth the $9.99.

My favorite tracks: "Cry No More" & "Dreamworld"

What next?
