Mondo Homo 2009
I went this Friday night with some good buddies of mine. The venue was cool (Eye Drum Gallery) near MLK. We went to support CHASEOLOGY.COM favorite Last Offence. I interviewed him a few months ago, he's cool people----very charismatic and talented. We saw him relaxing before the show and we finally met face to face. He introduced us to his friend and fellow emcee Twizza. We arrived early and we got an opportunity to view some of Katrina Del Mar's independent films before the show, very interesting stuff. The show started around 9:20 pm. There were a lot of great performances. Lasto's set was great! Crazy Energy! He did is song with Twizza and got lots of crowd love. Some of the other standout performances came from Benni E., Kin4Life, and (my favorite) Fiona Simone. When you get the chance go to http://www.tomboyfresh.com. SUPPORT Underground, unsigned, inependent artist!!!!!!!!! Seriously, their shit is amazing! Saturday we went to BBQ with Lasto and Twizza and all I can say is they know how to have a good time. Danger Shoots a Blank?
Music producer Danger Mouse is to release a blank CD, after record label EMI reportedly cancelled his new album.
Dark Night Of The Soul, a collaboration with rock group Sparklehorse, also features Iggy Pop and The Flaming Lips, along with artwork by David Lynch.
It has already been streamed online, but Billboard magazine said a "legal dispute" with EMI derailed the project.
Danger Mouse, who is half of pop group Gnarls Barkley, said he hoped people would still get to hear the record.
A spokesperson for the producer said: "Danger Mouse remains hugely proud of Dark Night of the Soul and hopes that people lucky enough to hear the music, by whatever means, are as excited by it as he is."

Film Studies: Director Spotlight on Chris Robinson
Chris Robinson is a film director working mostly with music videos and commercials. He has directed commercials for brands such as iPod, Coca Cola and Verizon and music videos for songs like "Fallin'" and "You Don't Know My Name" by Alicia Keys, "Roc Boys" by Jay Z, the grammy nominated video for "One Mic" by Nas, and "Bonnie & Clyde '03" by Jay-Z featuring Beyoncé.
He is also known for the creation of the concept "Boost Mobile" ad campaigns featuring rap superstars such as Kanye West, Ludacris, The Game, Eve, and others.
In 2005, he directed the coming-of-age feature film ATL, starring T.I. and Big Boi.
Chris is also a founding partner of RockCorps, an organization that encourages volunteerism in young people, which launched the Boost Mobile RockCorps program in 2005 and Orange RockCorps in 2008.

Junior Senior - Move Your Feet
This was my jam back in 2004. I'd blast it as I ripped and roared through means streets of Marietta,GA in either my father Astro Van or my uncle's pick-up truck. It popped in my head this morning. Actually it didn't pop in my head it plopped in. I'm not sure where it came from but as I was boarding the shuttle I closed my umbrella and as the cold water hit my bald head the song came rushing back to me.
If you don't remember Junior Senior you suck, clearly one of the greatest 1-hit-wonders of the early portion of this century! They were a pop musical duo from Denmark. Jesper "Junior" Mortensen (vocals, guitar, bass guitar, keyboards) and Jeppe "Senior" Laursen (vocals, keyboards, programming). Mortensen and Laursen announced on their blog that they would split and pursue solo projects on September 26, 2008. Both Junior and Senior have launched new projects. Mortensen has started a new band called I Scream Ice Cream, and is working on another called the Little Sisters. Laursen is reportedly working on a debut album.
Junior was my dude.
