[Source] Are you feeling hopeless about the future? YES!Are you feeling hopeless and helpless about your current situation? YES, VERYAre you feeling depressed? more and more each day...Do you find no way to come out of this hopelessness? Nope.It is time to consult a Doctor about your depression. HA! I don't have insurance you f*cking genius!
Can your depression be related to your debts? Related? It's the source!!!! Are you also having debts to repay? OMG, are you serious? U'Duh! Yes! Debts can cause constant worry and make us feel depressed. for real...didn't realize Especially when we have no ready plan to repay our debt, the depression can be severe.
What are you planning about your debt? *getting pissed off* Have you planned any repayment schedule? *turns away*Have you planned any method to increase your income? YES! I'll use magic. If not, please begin doing that. *gets supremely pissed off!* Let us look at this problem in totality. Yes, lets. You have a certain income. You have a certain debt. You have certain expenses. You have to save money from your income and repay small amount every month so that one-day you are out of it. The first step is to write down all these figures. Then think of every method that can increase your income. Similarly try to reduce your expenses. This will obviously give you more money to repay. Now talk to your creditors. Ask them for rescheduling the debt so that is comfortable for you to repay. Approach them positively and explain the position. Be optimistic. They will agree. You know what, I appreciate your effort, but your generic (outside looking in/Clark Howard/Oprah Debt Diet) tips mean nothing to me. I'm completely cognizant of my situation, it's severity and the various steps that I need to improve my financial status, BUT it takes time. While I wait, I get depressed, frustrated, stressed out, irritable, and pissed. I came to you seeking something beneficial. You provided nothing.
Feeling hopeless never solves the problem. Finding solution will do that. Fight your debt related depression with proper strategy and planning. *scowls* Look, Just shut the f*ck up.
I dug Keane's first album! I wasn't a huge fan of their sophomore release. Perfect Symmetry's album art & the video for the first single intrigued me... I have the album at home waiting on me but I haven't heard any of it yet. I think I'm going to like it though... I'll let you know how it goes. more info...

Presponse (noun) - To respond to a question before it is finished, often confusing the asker. For Example: Chevon: So are you avail- Adair: No. (Presponse) Chevon: -ible Monday? (silence) Chevon: Well? Are you? Adair:*purses lips and departs*
50 Cent (remember him?) yeah, well he has had a major crush on Kanye West since they released their albums at the same time last year. His schoolyard-push-him-in-the-dirt-call-him-a-stupid-head bit bores me. By the way porcelain veneers are the new grillz--Source Magazine gur. Poly-grip anyone?
Georgia State University (my alma mater) sponsored a Disabilities Fair in Unity Plaza a few weeks back. It was cool, I got some great information and a lot of people came out. I had the pleasure of watching the FULL RADIUS DANCE Company perform. They were amazing. I was in awww of their first performance, but I only caught the end of it unfortunately. Check them out and tell me what you think. "Founded in 1990, Full Radius Dance, originally known as Dance Force, Inc. is one of only a handful of physically-integrated dance companies in the United States." -http://www.fullradiusdance.org/
If you’re not familiar with Noah’s Arc here is a brief history lesson (sponsored by the good folk @ Wikipedia): Set in Los Angeles, the show features the lives of four black gay friends dealing with everyday trials, tribulations, triumphs and tragedies. Noah's Arc premiered on October 19, 2005 on the Logo television network. The series was Logo's most popular program. more...
I used to watch this show with all my friends (gay and straight alike). Being the first gay black television series the show was unique in so many ways. The diverse cast, the issues, the dialogue, the relationship dynamics all kept us watching. When the show ended we were all devastated and confused because the show was such a huge success. Then rumors started circulating about a movie, I was skeptical, but hopeful. I'm really glad that everything worked out and the movie was released nationwide. I’ve been anticipating this film for nearly two years. I was not disappointed at all. I won't spoil any parts of the film because I want everybody to go check it out. It's not a gay movie, it's a great movie. If I wore hats I would take my off to Patrick Ian Polk and the entire cast and crew of this film.
You write your own music, you conceptualize your look, you call all the shots. Is it a struggle to prove that pop music is something that can be taken seriously and that can be artistic?
I wouldn’t say it’s a struggle, I’d say it’s a mission. It’s a vow. It’s funny, when I did the So You Think You Can Dance performance and I put on my TV-shaped glasses [that read] Pop Music Will Never Be Low Brow, that was me taking a vow and saying “Not on my stage.” I write the shit, I do the fashion, all the choreography is inspired by me and New York City and what I believe in and the show is completely 100,000 percent my vision. That’s what makes my heart beat. I wouldn’t be fulfilled as an artist if I was just a puppet.
Excerpt: One night, while DJing at Cheetah, he recalls, "I remember just thinking, I wonder if I could get away with playing Puffy's 'All About the Benjamins' next to AC/DC's 'Back in Black,' and I worked out this whole routine where I would get from A to B, from a hip-hop set to AC/DC without the crowd realizing that the music had changed." Ronson became the great unifier of New York nightlife. With some resistance from upper-level management at mega-clubs like Life, he brought black people into traditionally white clubs, and vice versa. "He is magnetic in the sense that people are just drawn to him," Lily Allen says. "He is also sickeningly good at working a room -- women love him as do men." read the FULL story at PAPERMAG.com
"I wouldn't kick em' out of bed for eating crackers"(phrase) -
A woman or man who meets an attractiveness threshold above which you would easily forgive minor transgressions such as eating crackers and leaving the inevitable crumbs in your bed. Example: Lindsay Lohan might have a little nose candy problem, but still, I wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crackers. THANKS! Urban Dictionary.
Here are some more rough Kanye tracks. This new album is going to be depressing a.f.-- just in time for Christmas. I'm pleased, I need something to drink to. & by the way this is the official album cover. Also, he'll probably release another record in June. Kanye West - Robocop Kanye West - Coldest Winter
Remember Muffy? [past posts] Well she's been in the studio with Bangladesh! If you don't know who that is, seek professional help. But before you do: Listen & GET Muffy's new track! it's hot.
"T.O.N.Y." is the next single off of Solange's album Sol-Angel & The Hadley Street Dreams. She shoot the video in NY recently. The MOMENT I find it online I will post it. Here are a couple of pictures from the set. Ceelo (who co-wrote the song) was on set as well. I dig the song and I'm hoping she'll do another dope video.
I've been listening to Kenna for about 2 solid hours. Definitely looking forward to hearing some new material. Check him out talking about fashion, his 'gearu', and other shit.
Amy P. is a hardcore G, and she's pregnant. "How you feel Eskimos??!!" "All the MAVERICKS IN THE HOUSE PUT YO HANDS UP!!!!!!" I need to find this track somewhere!! The best part is when she kills the moose.
the album sounds like: A metallic male stripper spilling hot coffee all over Daft Punk mixing board because Britney Spears and Robbie Williams are wrestling naked in a pit of his grape Kool-Aid. Laughing hysterically, Madonna smokes a joint with Boy George and all the while Pharrell is in the background recording the entire scene on his DV cam.
"I think it's hard to find a general theme [for the album]. It's a lot of love and relationship songs, as people probably would expect from me. There's not an overarching lyrical theme that goes throughout. It's just a bunch of good songs, I think." --John Legend, MTV
A bunch of good songs INDEED! John Legend's latest release is contemporary rhythm and blues at it's best. I learned aboutLegend five years ago when he opened for Kanye West at a concert (in Atlanta) the summer before I started college. I thought to myself "damn, he's good." He's an incredible performer, song writer, pianist, humanitarian, and artist. This is his best work to date.
"Good Morning" is "my favorite love song, I waited all night long." Haha... Legend enlisted help from his protege Estelle, Kanye West, and Brandy not to mention producers like Midi Mafia, Will.I.Am, Teddy Riley, KP, The Neptunes and Malay to name a few. On this album he explores different genres. When I listen to it, I hear reggae, pop, blues, and soul. His first album was a sensation! It was sort of mixture of contemporary R&B and soul. His second album was laden with soulful piano driven tracks. This record is the opposite, it's more mid and up tempo with a pop appeal. I've come up with video treatments for most of the songs, which lets me know that pretty much all of them have the potential to be great singles. You're gonna love this record. Get on this when it drops.
Thumb Lashing - To be reprimanded via SMS messages on a cell phone.
EXAMPLE: "I was supposed to take go out to dinner with my boo, but I stayed with my homies at the bar and boy did I get a thumb lashing on the cab ride home."
I was watching "Many Moons" last night and I realized they made a few adjustments, not to mention they posted the complete clip. The changes are small but they make the video that much more spectacular. I got in that METROPOLIS spirit and came up with the first draft of my SAVE CINDI MAYWEATHER poster/t-shirt/hoodie design. Here is the [remastered] Many Moons short film.
Chester French's in-store performance @ STANDARD ATL was dope. We arrived early, I perused the boutique for a bit, giving some of the jackets the evil eye. Then we moseyed to the back, grabbed a couple of Peroni's and chilled behind the store. After a few interesting conversations with friends (old and new alike), I see a familiar face walking around looking around casually. This red-headed dude wearing a bright orange BBC hoodie, some jeans, and shades was the spitting image of [D.A.] the lead singer of Chester French. I was dead on, it was definitely him. We figured the show would start soon so we went inside. The crowd was good, lots of cool people. They performed about 5 songs with just vocals and guitar. I recorded the entire show. I'll post the video soon, I just need to clean it up, do some editing. Look for it this weekend definitely. "Bebe Buell" is my new favorite CF song. more pictures (taken by me)... more pictures (from STANDARD's blog)
‘Ology’ comes from the Greek word logos, meaning the “study of” something. Chaseology on a basic level means the study of Chase. Not necessarily me as an individual, rather the things I’m inspired by. I have a divine appreciation for musicians, designers, artists, producers, directors, writers, and poets who give of themselves---offering something layered, unique, and bright. I’m inspired by so much on a daily basis the possibilities are boundless, though music stands at the forefront, I firmly believed anything can inspire. Art helps me appreciate the world, and encourages me to explore its different dimensions. This blog is my means of honoring and sharing the individuals whose creative works I exalt.
